Job summary

Lancaster County Economic Development seeks a technician to configure new vehicles and equipment and support fleet services and repairs for county vehicles.

Under regular supervision, you will perform preventative maintenance and work with the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman to assign and monitor tasks, ensuring the proper functioning of motorized equipment, including trailers.

Qualifications

• Any combination of training, education, or experience equivalent to two years’ experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation, which includes at least one year experience in the service and installation of motorized equipment.
• Graduation from high school or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configures new vehicles and equipment and assists with services, maintenance and repairs to County vehicles and other motorized equipment including trailers, etc., ensuring proper working order.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Receives direction and leadership from the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman who coordinates, assigns, and monitors work assignments.
