Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Supervisor, Fleet Services to lead Fleet Services mechanics and vendors in maintenance across shop and field locations. The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and collaboration with customers and internal departments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, a Journeyman background, and strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. This role reports into the Fleet Services function within Ameren Illinois' operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree in Automotive or Diesel Technology, or a business-related field preferred.
• Five or more years of relative experience required, preferably as a Journeyman Automotive Mechanic with supervisory aptitude.
• Good leadership, decision-making, communications, and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, plan, organize, and evaluate maintenance work performed by Fleet Services employees and/or vendors in a shop or in the field.
• Supervise, train, and appraise employees, conduct safety meetings, maintain records of equipment and employees and other duties as assigned.
• Provide clear expectations for performance and consistently enforce safety rules.
• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, and other departments; monitor to ensure timely completion.
• Identify and implement improvements in Fleet operations to control costs and boost productivity.
