Job summary

Guilford County Government seeks a Fleet Services Support professional to assist with the operational management of the county’s vehicle fleet, including maintaining titles, licenses, maintenance, and reliability records. The role coordinates repairs with vendors, tracks maintenance, and contributes to budgeting and reporting.

Responsibilities include scheduling vehicle service, documenting incidents, and supporting contract bids and disposal processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with one year of progressively responsible administrative or office management experience; OR associate’s degree with three years of progressively responsible administrative or fleet management experience; OR High School with five years of progressively responsible administrative or fleet management experience.
• Experience in office support or other related experience to fleet, transportation, vehicle maintenance or repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fleet Services Manager in operational management of all vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain maintenance history and incident reports for vehicle records.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance with external vendors and schedule repairs.
• Update and manage vehicle inventory and maintenance databases.
• Assist in budgeting by tracking fleet costs and preparing cost reports.
• Support bid processes for fleet service contracts and disposition of surplus vehicles.
