Job summary

Guilford County Government in Greensboro seeks an Emergency Services Support Services Coordinator to manage logistical operations and provide essential support across divisions. You will ensure equipment, facilities, and resources are maintained and ready for routine operations and emergency responses.

This role oversees facility and fleet maintenance, coordinates with vendors, and participates in budget planning while upholding safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for facility operations, proactively overseeing and coordinating maintenance, functionality, and security to ensure facilities meet operational and safety standards.
• Monitor and direct vehicle maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment readiness, ensuring fleet reliability and compliance with operational readiness.
• Lead logistical planning and execution during emergency activations, including coordinating supply chains, staging areas, and resource deployment to support response operations.
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts, including performance monitoring, coordination of services, and support of procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Participate in budget development, independently track expenditures, and recommend cost-effective strategies to support fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.
• Ensure facilities, equipment, and operational practices comply with all applicable safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, proactively identify and mitigate risks while maintaining all OSHA required documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee the operation, maintenance, and readiness of seven (7) radio tower sites, ensuring continuous functionality and compliance with operational standards.
• Manage the OPW fuel control system and oversee fleet fuel inventory across two fueling locations, radio tower sites, and base generators to ensure uninterrupted operations. Monitor and oversee department use of Go Gas system.
