Job summary

The City of Gastonia is seeking a Service Advisor to coordinate vehicle service and maintenance requests for municipal fleets. You will act as the liaison between departments and Fleet Services, track work orders, and ensure timely completion with strong customer service.

Responsibilities include managing PM scheduling, coordinating outside vendor repairs, and providing status updates. A high school diploma and automotive/fleet training are preferred; valid driver's license and fleet software

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of technical or vocational training in automotive repair, fleet management, or related field is required.
• A technical certificate in a relevant discipline, with at least two years of fleet maintenance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between City departments and Fleet Services for vehicle service and maintenance requests.
• Coordinate intake, tracking, and completion of work orders with accurate service history.
• Manage outside vendor repairs, warranty work, and recalls; provide status updates to departments.
