Job summary

Alief Independent School District Transportation is seeking a Service Worker I to ensure vehicles are properly serviced and ready for use. The role requires maintaining service records, inspecting vehicles, fueling, and performing routine maintenance with strict adherence to safety standards.

The position requires a valid Class B CDL with P and S endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass DOT tests and a physical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class B CDL with P and S endorsements required or must obtain.
• Must pass DOT alcohol/drug tests and annual physical.
• Able to understand and follow written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Service vehicles as assigned and post mileage.
• Fuel and check oil, steering, radiator, and fluids.
• Inspect for leaks and defects; prepare vehicles for charters.
• Perform Routine maintenance on all vehicles and keep areas clean.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
