Job summary

Equipment Depot is seeking a skilled shop technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and batteries, as well as construction and aerial equipment. The role involves diagnosing failures from work orders, performing mechanical repairs, and ensuring safe operation before returning units to service.

Responsibilities include documenting repair details, communicating with customers on status, and generating service quotes while maintaining accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and planning repairs from service orders.
• Ability to perform mechanical repairs after inspection and approval by supervisor.
• Document repair details with correct model, serial number, and hour meter readings.
• Perform safety checks on guards, bolts, and safety devices.
• Communicate status and quotes to customers and manage paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Accepts work orders from Service Dispatcher, Planner and Manager to diagnose and plan repairs.
• Performs mechanical repairs after inspection and approval.
• Writes complete repair descriptions with model/serial and hour meter readings.
• Lubricates moving parts and verifies repairs meet specifications before returning unit to service.
• Creates quotes and maintains shop paperwork and field service communications.
