Job summary

American Furniture Warehouse is seeking a Fleet Safety Coordinator to execute and implement the fleet safety program, including proactive vehicle safety measures, accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and training material development. You may travel to accident scenes to conduct investigations with the Fleet Safety Department.

The role involves monitoring logs, conducting pre-trip inspections, and coaching personnel on FMCSA regulations, with AFW providing training and support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fleet Safety Coordinator or in a deliveries department preferred.
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
• Capable of reading and following oral and written instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Execute and implement the fleet safety program, including accident prevention and regulatory compliance.
• Investigate accidents at the direction of the Fleet Safety Department and coordinate with investigators.
• Promote safety awareness and train personnel on safety materials and programs.
• Monitor logs, conduct pre-trip checks, and ensure FMCSA compliance.
• Travel to accident scenes as needed and communicate safety requirements to teams.
