Job summary

Paragon Leasing L.P. in Dallas seeks a Safety Fleet Supervisor to lead safety coaching and training for a long-haul driver fleet. You will work with Fleet Managers and leadership on safety and compliance matters, focusing on preventing incidents, addressing tickets, and reducing overall risk.

The role requires hands-on coaching, strong knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in safety performance across the fleet.

Qualifications

• In-depth working knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations.
• Highly organized and communicative — must interact effectively at all levels, internal and external
• Ability to perform in environments with ambiguous situations, rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
• Proven record of making well-informed decisions in both routine and emergency situations
• High degree of initiative and independent execution; thrive as a team player yet driven by autonomy

Responsibilities

• Directly influencing the safety behavior, driving performance and knowledge base of your fleet.
• Reviewing contributing factors to accidents and violations to determine focus areas for remediation, prevention and risk management.
• Addressing trending problem areas with timely coaching and intervention.
• Responding to questions regarding policies, procedures, best practices, FMCSR/CSA interpretations, etc.
• Providing weather updates to drivers and office associates.
• Setting up drug and alcohol screening as necessary.
• Regular and ad-hoc reporting.
