Job summary

Walmart Transportation is seeking an Area Manager, Fleet Safety to support field offices across the country in implementing fleet safety initiatives. You will help ensure DOT compliance, deliver driver training, and develop safety programs that reduce risk and improve performance.

You will analyze safety data, build dashboards, and collaborate with operations to deploy proven safety solutions. The role is based in Hermiston, OR and requires strong communication and change-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental science, traffic safety, transit safety, or related area with 2 years’ experience in safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
• 2 years’ experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., TPM) within supply chain or transportation maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Support Walmart transportation offices in fleet safety operations.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Provide driver training and coaching to enhance performance and safety.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
• Leverage data to identify root causes of safety issues and apply solutions.
• Utilize data visualization tools to create informative safety dashboards for stakeholders.
