Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer to lead design projects in operational data centers, remediating issues, upgrading infrastructure, or adding new services. You will own the design, provide lifecycle support from design through implementation, and collaborate with data center teams across regions.

Ideal candidates will bring strong engineering judgement, data-driven approach, and experience managing engineering projects and consultants.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability
• Prepare/review short circuit coordination studies and maintain the software models to match as-built site conditions
• Perform design and equipment submittal reviews for Data Centers in your region
• Interface with internal and external data center design engineering teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety teams, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered
• Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline during new remediation projects
• Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover
