Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a Fleet Remediation Data Center Retrofit Mechanical Engineer to lead design projects in operational data centers, remediating issues, upgrading infrastructure, and adding new services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the design for data center upgrades and solutions which add infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability.
• Review design and equipment submittals for Data Centers in your region and collaborate with internal teams.
• Interface with data center design engineering teams, server hardware, EHS, field engineering and controls engineering to promote standards and reliability.
