Job summary

Walmart in Apple Valley, CA is hiring a Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift. You will perform basic to intermediate inspections, repairs, and maintenance on tractors, trailers, yard trucks, and service vehicles, coordinating work orders and ensuring compliance with DOT guidelines.

Responsibilities include fuel sampling, safety checks, and accurate record-keeping. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Brake inspection qualified per FMCSA regulations, 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified per FMCSA regulations, 396.19.
• DOT Transportation Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on Walmart equipment (tractors, trailers, yard trucks, service vehicles).
• Create and process work orders; identify parts and solutions; communicate progress and updates.
• Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling following safety procedures.
