Job summary

Walmart Transportation is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop equipment according to DOT guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

Responsibilities

• Keep Walmart Transportation moving by performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Walmart equipment including trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop/service vehicles.
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, and select repair solutions.
• Repair/replace brake components, wheel seals, and tractor-trailer tires per DOT requirements.
• Communicate updates and complete required logs, records, and computer-based documentation.
• Receive fuel drops, monitor safety compliance, and collect/prepare fuel samples and paperwork.
