Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and TWIC card.
• Knowledge of barge tank transfer operations, boat construction, engine repairs, and river systems.
• Knowledge of USCG, OSHA, and MSDS regulations.
• Ability to supervise others, facilitate teamwork and provide functional direction.
• Ability to communicate professionally through meetings, email, and presentations.
• Travel approximately 30%.

Responsabilités

• Leads maintenance team members to reduce fleet downtime while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develops standards and best practices with vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and safe services.
• Ensures standards are met and takes corrective actions for safe, compliant vessel and facility operations.
• Assists in planning fleet repairs and capital expenditures; helps improve asset availability.
• Verifies preparedness to respond to vessel emergencies and supports investigations to prevent incidents.
• Negotiates prices and timelines for parts and repairs; provides scope of work summaries.
• Authorizes on-site repair costs within approved limits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
