Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Vehicle Preventive Maintenance Technician at our Henry County IN Campus (New Castle, IN). You will perform preventive maintenance on a vehicle fleet, including inspections, lubrications, and minor repairs to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
Basic computer skills and ability to use a computer/tablet.
Ability to read repair manuals and diagrams.
Good written and verbal communication with customers.
Ability to complete paperwork, electronically or in hard copy.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles in a safe manner following regulations and company policies.
Inspect, lubricate, service fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules.
Grease, oil and lubricate components during preventive maintenance.
Check, fill or change fluids and filters for fleet vehicles.
Inspect electrical, air and brake systems; perform minor repairs and adjustments.
Assist senior technicians with repairs and maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of time, maintenance orders and parts usage.
