Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will inspect, lubricate, service, and change fluids while supporting senior technicians and maintaining detailed maintenance records.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, basic tool possession, and ability to read repair manuals and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Familiarity with repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles safely and per schedules.
• Inspect, lubricate, service, and change fluids/filters as needed.
• Inspect electrical, air, and brake systems; perform minor repairs.
• Maintain records of maintenance, parts usage, and time in the system.
• Assist senior technicians and report worn or failed components.
