Job summary

Walla Walla County is seeking a Parts Specialist to manage the Fleet Services parts inventory and support the Road Department’s maintenance materials. You will ensure accurate stock levels, process orders, receive and store parts, and issue items to staff for routine and large projects.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with inventory management training and two years of purchasing/inventory control experience; forklift operation is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA and/or Technical Degree related to mechanics fields preferred.
• Technical training in inventory management and two years’ experience in purchasing and inventory control; automotive/heavy equipment repair background helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage Fleet Services parts inventory and Road Department maintenance materials store.
• Maintain accurate inventories, process parts orders, receipts, storage, and issues.
• Prepare parts for routine services and large projects; sign and deliver materials as needed.
