Job summary

Aurora Innovation Inc. is seeking a Fleet Operations Technician to maintain our autonomous fleet vehicles, perform routine OEM maintenance, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to upgrade components.

You will diagnose issues, document findings, and ensure high-quality repairs while balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced workshop. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, safety awareness, and willingness to work day or night shifts on rotating schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 3–6 years OEM Technician experience.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic workshop etiquette and communication across teams.
• Safety conscious and knowledgeable about general shop safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently.

Responsibilities

• Work with Vehicle Operations, Software, and Hardware on diagnostics, test-plans, and vehicle upgrades.
• Perform routine OEM maintenance to mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Document and communicate findings through processes and systems.
• Take ownership and elevate data or findings when appropriate.
• Perform quality service and repair, cross-functional collaboration, and a can-do team spirit.
• Maintain a clean and professional workspace.
• Capable of balancing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to use electrical and mechanical tooling.
• Develop testing methods to support current problems.
