Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a on-site Fleet Operations Manager in Houston, TX. You will lead maintenance, repairs and reconditioning of the rental fleet, aligning activities with business goals and vendor performance standards.

You will manage a team, drive budgets and forecasts, and oversee employee lifecycle processes to sustain a high-performance culture. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years management experience in related field (rental car, automotive shop or service oriented)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible schedules in a fast-paced environment including early mornings, nights or weekends
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and oversee multiple work areas

Responsibilities

• Develops and communicates operating plans to maximize fleet utilization
• Directs maintenance, repair and reconditioning of fleet vehicles
• Oversees in-fleeting and delisting of vehicles across channels
• Manages vendor relationships and workload to meet service standards
• Leads HR processes from hiring to performance management for managers and staff
