Job summary

Northwind North in Miami, FL is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to manage our transportation fleet and ensure safe, efficient operations. The role involves overseeing daily fleet operations, coordinating with drivers and dispatchers, and handling scheduling and route planning.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–4 years of transportation or logistics experience, and a valid CDL are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation operations, including fleet management and route planning.
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Monitor and maintain vehicle maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Track and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and optimize routes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues related to transportation services.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety protocols within the transportation department.
• Train and mentor new drivers and team members to maintain high service standards.
