Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Fleet Operations Specialist to support our client, a national energy leader known for innovation and efficiency in the retail power sector. This role provides a unique opportunity to enhance cost control, support safety initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in fleet operations while working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Determine cost-effective vehicle assignments.
  • Make vehicle repair decisions using established logic when escalated by the fleet management partner.
  • Coordinate with fleet partners and field leadership to ensure vehicle registrations are current.
  • Respond to field inquiries via ticketing system, email, and phone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analyze cost and operational trends; propose and manage related improvement projects.
  • Support fleet safety culture by providing training as requested.
  • Identify and implement ways to reduce administrative workload.
  • Audit and refine fleet processes for greater efficiency.
  • Establish and track performance metrics to improve outcomes.
  • Communicate with contracted suppliers to ensure quality service and accountability.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments and leadership teams.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Proficiency in Excel with experience in pivot tables, functions, and data filtering.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret trends and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability in project management and team coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with fleet management systems and processes.
  • Some college coursework completed.
  • Familiarity with Power Query, Power Automate, or SQL.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional projects.
