Job summary

The Town of Needham is seeking a Fleet Supervisor to lead the repair and maintenance of municipal vehicles, machines and radio equipment.

You will supervise the Fleet Division within the DPW, manage schedules, track parts and fuel, and ensure safety inspections. This full-time role requires technical training, several years of experience, and a valid driver's license. CDL Class B and ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or two years of technical or business school.
• Seven to ten years of related experience.
• Knowledge of fleet terminology and inventory management.
• Ability to supervise others and coordinate with vendors and customers.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and organize the Fleet Division under DPW.
• Inspect work and maintain records using electronic systems.
• Oversee safety inspections and vehicle registrations.
• Manage fleet parts inventory and fuel systems.
• Prepare division budget and procurement efforts.
• Produce reports on labor, parts, and fuel usage.
• Mandatory participation in Snow & Ice program.
