Job summary

MGE Underground is seeking a Fleet Support Technician to organize the shop, coordinate parts flow, and maintain fleet safety at our Paso Robles site. You will support foreman with maintenance, safety compliance, and basic repairs as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and forklift certification is preferred. On-site work with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits is offered, with opportunities to grow in a growing utility infrastructure contractor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment/tools use and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Organize the shop for safe and smooth fleet operations.
• Coordinate parts ordering, pickup, and distribution.
• Lubricate and clean fleet equipment and apply decals/plates.
• Safely transport fleet equipment between locations; travel as needed.
• Code and submit invoices with receipts to accounting.
• Load/unload materials from delivery trucks or company vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop area and manage hazardous waste.
• Perform minor repairs as directed and operate yard equipment when needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements; report safety concerns.
