Job summary

Dassel's Energy is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager in Hollister, CA to lead maintenance, repairs, and asset management for our propane fleet. You’ll coordinate drivers, mechanics, and operations to ensure vehicles and equipment are ready, compliant, and performing at peak levels.

Candidates should bring hands-on diesel expertise, strong troubleshooting, and a proven ability to lead a team toward safer, reliable, and cost-effective fleet operations. CDL and ASE credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks.
Strong troubleshooting across diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and related components.
Experience coordinating maintenance, repair priorities, and fleet readiness.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in transportation/fleet environments.
Hands-on mechanical work in shop, field, and outdoor settings.

Responsibilities

Maintain fleet readiness, organization, and appearance of assets, facilities, and grounds.
Maximize utilization, reliability, and ROI of fleet and service center assets.
Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records in asset systems.
Monitor fleet performance and identify uptime and efficiency improvements.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair schedules with drivers and operations staff.
Provide coaching and support to mechanics and operations personnel.
