Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Fleet to oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance and to establish a culture focused on people, safety, service, and cost. You will manage personnel, drive efficient operations, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to supervise technicians while coordinating with drivers and other departments. Expect travel and a hands-on, collaborative work environment in a large logistics operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fleet equipment experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of DOT, Hazmat, OSHA regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance and maintain a safe work environment.
• Lead safety culture to keep drivers, technicians, and public injury-free.
• Interview, hire, and train technicians; schedule training and certifications.
• Ensure vehicles are in proper working condition and document service recommendations.
• Manage purchasing, warranties, and parts inventory; develop yearly budget.
• Coordinate with drivers on equipment use; obtain competitive repair bids.
• Comply with OSHA, DOT, and Tax regulations.
• Produce weekly, period, and yearly reports.
