Job summary

Ryder is seeking an Operations Manager I to lead locations with up to 130 equivalent truck units, supervising technicians and support staff while balancing labor, asset, safety and financial targets. You will ensure adherence to company processes and maintenance standards across the location.

Responsibilities include optimizing labor, scheduling, customer communications, asset management, quality inspections and compliance.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two (2) years or more experience in an operations environment or demonstrated success in a Ryder role required.
• 0 to One (1) year Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations management to optimize labor, shift patterns, scheduling and RO review.
• Lead labor management, training, performance management and recruitment processes.
• Direct customer relationship management, ensuring uptime and satisfaction, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Direct asset management including 6S standards, tooling, equipment, and asset utilization.
• Ensure quality inspections, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage net maintenance cost targets, vendor relations, payroll approvals and invoicing processes.
