Job summary

The position involves coaching drivers on safety, productivity, and morale, directing daily work, and optimizing loads and backhauls for maximum fleet utilization.

Responsibilities

• Coach and counsel drivers in safety, performance, productivity and morale.
• Direct and schedule driver work; plan, assign and distribute daily work.
• Develop daily delivery plan utilizing equipment, manpower and resources for efficient operation.
• Organize transportation solutions to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems with customers, drivers, vendors and other locations.
• Perform payroll, billing, driver counseling and post-accident reviews.
• Review operating performance to identify improvements.
• Use transportation management systems to capture operational data in near real-time.
• Promote safety and compliance with policies and regulations.
