TEKsystems is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to oversee a vehicle fleet for a major client and deliver day-to-day account support from San Jose, CA. The role emphasizes cost-saving solutions, process optimization, and building strong client relationships.

You will drive fleet health, manage vendor coordination, and contribute to account retention and growth while coordinating with stakeholders to improve program efficiency. This onsite role offers commensurate pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years managing rental or fleet vehicles with repair, maintenance, and customer service.
• 2-5 years customer service or client account management experience in a B2B environment preferred.
• BS/BA in business or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Manage a fleet of variable units and ensure detailed pre/post in-service inspections.
• Coordinate light detailing, washing, and cleaning of fleet units.
• Schedule repairs with third-party vendors with Buyer, Vendor, and Customer coordination.
• Ensure refueling of returned units and maintain fleet health through relationships with clients and vendors.
• Record-keeping of all activities and collaboration with Buyers/Customers to improve program efficiency.

Description

Do you have experience managing vehicle fleets, Vehicle Rentals, or general operations experience?

If so we have an Opportunity for you! Our Client is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to manage a fleet of vehicles for one of their largest clients.

This role will allow you to build and maintain relationships with our customers and provide ongoing day to day account support, recommending cost saving solutions and managing processes to optimize the productivity of their fleet. You will also contribute to the clients ability to achieve their company goals, as well as to attainment of account retention and growth objectives.

A Day in the Life

• Key management of variable fleet units
• Perform detailed pre and post in-service inspections of the variable fleet
• Coordinate light detailing / washing / cleaning of variable fleet units
• Schedule with third-party vendors corrective mechanical and body repairs as to be agreed upon by Buyer, Vendor, and Customer and which may be revised from time to time
• Ensure the refueling of returned units
• Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and fleet personnel and advise on activities to maintain health of fleet
• Schedule and perform record keeping of all activities completed, whether by Vendor or managed by a third-party vendor
• Collaborate with Buyer and Customer to improve program and create greater efficiencies

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• BS or BA in business or related field highly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
• 1-2 years managing rental or fleet vehicles with an understanding in repair, maintenance, and customer service.
• 2-5 years customer service or client account management experience is highly desirable, preferably in a B2B service environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
