Job summary

Hunter Communications seeks a Fleet Coordinator to manage day-to-day fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are available, well-maintained, and compliant across locations. You will coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and documentation while serving as the central contact between staff, vendors, and leadership.

The role involves after-hours support, data analysis, and reporting on downtime, fuel usage, and costs. A strong eye for detail and excellent communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in administrative, coordination, or documentation-heavy role (fleet, operations, compliance, safety).
• Strong computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records and produce routine reports.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR and insurability.
• Preferred: experience supporting fleet operations, telematics, and fleet management systems.
• Experience with DOT/FMCSA concepts and insurance documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day tracking of fleet availability and uptime.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance with shops and users.
• Track repairs from report to completion.
• Review fuel card and GPS data for anomalies.
• Coordinate breakdown responses and after-hours repairs.
• Prepare reports on downtime and fleet costs.
• Maintain fleet records and documentation.
