Job summary

Houston Dose is seeking an experienced mechanic to maintain and repair trucks and trailers to keep equipment in optimal condition. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and work with supervisors to determine and resolve problems in a fast-paced shop environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of mechanic experience; licenses/certifications such as CDL may be preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years of mechanic/maintenance experience.
• Mechanic certification, CDL license, refrigeration license or similar may be required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ability to read driver inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance, component replacements and minor repairs.
• Inspect and repair brakes, steering, transmissions, batteries, tires and related systems.
• Diagnose using diagnostic tools and determine root causes of issues.
• Work with drivers to understand the nature of the problem and perform repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
