Job summary

Douglas County in Castle Rock, CO seeks a Mechanic Supervisor to lead the Fleet Services shop, oversee maintenance and repair of a diverse vehicle fleet, and direct a team of mechanics.

You will assign work, monitor preventive maintenance, ensure safety, manage parts and records in the fleet system, and coordinate training and evaluations. The role offers full-time hours, clothing and tool allowances, and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Automotive, diesel, or heavy-equipment training preferred.
• Eight years of fleet-based automotive/diesel experience.
• One year in a fleet lead or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and performs maintenance and repair activities for vehicles and equipment in the Fleet Services shop or location.
• Provides day-to-day supervision to assigned mechanics; assigns work, prioritizes tasks, and conducts evaluations.
• Reviews timesheets, assists with scheduling and staffing needs, and monitors preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinates with Parts Department to order parts and maintain inventory and costs.
• Ensures compliance with FMCSA inspections and manufacturer specifications.
