Job summary

Academy District 20 is seeking a Lead Mechanic to oversee the maintenance of district fleet and develop preventative maintenance schedules. The role requires ensuring safety, coordinating the mechanics team, and maintaining repair history while aligning with Colorado rules and regulations.

The incumbent will manage maintenance workflows, inspect vehicles, and implement best practices for safety and efficiency within the district’s garage facilities.

Qualifications

• Required: CDL - Class B (CDOT)
• Experience in a mechanical service position
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and preventive maintenance on district fleet to ensure safety.
• Lead and supervise the mechanics team and coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Develop and implement maintenance practices and safety procedures.
• Input work orders, generate reports, and monitor maintenance history.
• Road test vehicles and verify repairs and maintenance effectiveness.
