Job summary

AC&T Co. Inc. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to repair, maintain, and service our diverse fleet including transports, tankers, delivery trucks, pumping vehicles, and vans. The role requires safe, timely, and cost-effective workmanship with on-call rotation and independent work capabilities.

You will diagnose failures, perform preventative maintenance, and document vehicle records while adhering to safety standards. Prior experience with engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate. (may require further credentials as applicable).
• 3-5 years of experience; industry background preferred.
• Knowledge of engines and controls.
• Must be able to move, lift and store equipment with hand tools, welding equipment, shop machines and power tools.
• Read gauges and dials accurately.
• Knowledge of brakes, suspensions and hydraulics; DOT inspections.
• Experience with bucket trucks, forklifts or similar equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform repairs that require bending, twisting, climbing, squatting and balancing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble/repair parts as needed.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain and repair fleet equipment and answer road calls.
• Keep vehicle records and fill out required documents.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
