Job summary

Vestis is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet vehicles, primarily delivery step vans. This role reports to management and requires ensuring safety and compliance with DOT standards while maintaining cost-efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of fleet repair experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may hold an associate degree in Automotive Technology. Ability to work with the AVMS system and collaborate in a team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fleet vehicles with preventative maintenance to meet 100% compliance.
• Use the AVMS fleet management system to track shop duties.
• Assist with cost control through purchasing and inventory management.
• Ensure DOT and OSHA standards are met in the shop environment.
• Repair and maintain engines, brakes, electrical and suspension systems.
• Document repairs and inspections per company guidelines.
• Perform repairs safely and efficiently and assist with larger repairs as needed.
