Job summary

Vestis Corporation is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and cost-conscious repair practices, with work guided by the Lead Mechanic.

You will maintain delivery step vans and company cars, using the AVMS fleet system to document and track repairs. Two years of fleet repair experience and a High School Diploma or GED are required; an Associate degree in Automotive Technology is a plus.

Qualifications

Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle standards.
Two years or more experience in fleet vehicle repairs and maintenance.
High School Diploma or GED; an Associates degree is preferred.
Familiarity with parts procurement and inventory control.
Ability to work in a fast-paced shop and collaborate with team.

Responsibilities

Maintain fleet vehicles focusing on Preventative Maintenance programs to meet 100% standards.
Use AVMS to track shop operations and repairs.
Assist with cost control through purchasing and inventory management; train others in safety.
Ensure OSHA and DOT compliance; keep vehicles clean and safe.
Perform repairs on delivery vans and company cars; replace brakes, tires, hoses, and belts.
Document repairs and inspections per guidelines; follow safety and conduct requirements.
Support additional duties as needed within role scope.
