Job summary

FCS Transportation is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet vehicles. The position offers an 8-hour workday with a start time of 8:30 a.m. The starting pay is $24.28 per hour, and current FCS employees are given first consideration.

Eligible outside applicants will be reviewed if there is no internal interest. The role requires a CDL-B with S and P endorsements, an active ODE bus driver certificate, and the ability to pass a driver physical.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Associate degree in automotive/diesel fleet maintenance preferred, or equal job experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in preventive maintenance to motor vehicles.
• Must have a current and valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with a Class B endorsement as well as an “S” and “P” endorsement.
• Active bus driver certificate from ODE.
• Obtain successful results from a prescribed driver physical.
• Have the ability to acquire/pass passenger endorsement within six months.
