Job summary

The FCS Transportation Department in Ohio is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of school buses. The role pays $24.28 per hour for an 8-hour day, starting at 8:30 a.m., with internal progression potential based on experience and performance.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CDL Class B with S and P endorsements, active bus driver certificate, and the ability to pass a driver physical. An associate degree is preferred.

• Associate degree in automotive/diesel fleet maintenance preferred, or equal job experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in all fields of preventive maintenance to motor vehicles.
• Must have a current and valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with a Class B endorsement as well as an “S” and “P” endorsement.
• Active bus driver certificate from ODE.
• Obtain successful results from a prescribed driver physical.
• Have the ability to acquire/pass passenger endorsement within six months.
