Job summary

Mid Valley Disposal in Fresno, CA is seeking a skilled Technician II / Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of Class 4–8 diesel and CNG vehicles and heavy equipment. The role requires diagnosing mechanical issues and performing preventative maintenance to keep equipment reliable in daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience, experience with diagnostic tools like Dossier, INSITE, and PACCAR DAVIE4, and a valid Class C license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years hands-on mechanical experience with Class 4–8 diesel equipment.
• Experience with diagnostic software and shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on Class 4–8 diesel and CNG trucks and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air brake, steering, and suspension systems.
• Review DVIRs and complete necessary repairs; document repairs, parts, and labor time.
