City of Amarillo is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a range of city fleet vehicles and equipment. The role requires diagnosing issues, maintaining service records, and ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed and will be considered weather essential personnel. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of automotive repair
Pay: $26.00 per hour + $3,000 per year Tool Allowance
Under general supervision, this position performs various types of maintenance and repair of fleet maintenance vehicles, in accordance with applicable specifications, schedules and standards.
This position determines needed repairs and/or replacements for the City of Amarillo’s vehicles; ensures the availability of vehicles in safe operating condition; and provides written documentation of repairs to meet district, state and federal requirements. This position will be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime as necessary by the department and during inclement weather. This position is considered weather essential personnel.
