The City of Amarillo is seeking a wastewater plant laborer to perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in plant maintenance. The role requires working evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, and is designated weather essential personnel.
Responsibilities include assisting mechanics, servicing pumps, maintaining facilities, and operating light machinery. Positions require a Texas driver’s license and ability to work in varied weather conditions.
Under supervision, this position performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor in the construction and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. This position will be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather as well as overtime as necessary by the department. This position is considered weather essential personnel.
Any combination of experience and training equivalent to completion of the 9\" grade is required. Experience as a laborer preferred. Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
