Job summary

Idaho Power, based in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems. You will be part of the Operations Support team dedicated to safe, reliable energy delivery.

Required are 5 years heavy‑duty mechanic experience, a valid driver’s license and DOT/CDL credentials or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

• 5 years of heavy-duty mechanics experience with an emphasis in field repair
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain prior to hire
• Current DOT/FMCSA Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on engines and hydraulic/electrical systems
• Assist with major overhauls and general repairs on power equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical problems using schematics and diagnostic tooling
• Respond to emergency calls and work in various environments including field and shop
