Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking a Mechanic to join our in-house fleet team in Durham, NC. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles and landscape equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and company image. You’ll document work, support operations, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of hands-on mechanical experience, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to bring personal tools. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Safety-first mindset with commitment to safe work practices.
• Minimum of one year hands-on mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with gas/diesel vehicles and landscape equipment.
• Ability to supply personal tools as needed.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within Ruppert Landscape.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment, including mowers and trucks.
• Recondition vehicles to meet safety and image standards and ensure reliability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Accurately document and maintain service records.
• Provide exceptional internal customer service with focus on quality and efficiency.
• Assist with additional operational tasks as assigned.
