Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is hiring a Mechanic to support our in-house fleet team, maintaining diesel and gas trucks, mowers, and landscape equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance while keeping detailed service records and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications include at least one year of hands-on mechanical experience, tools, a safety mindset, and strong communication. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required; position reports to the Shop Manager

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipment.
• Ability to supply personal tools.
• Safety-first mindset and commitment to safety regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on power equipment, mowers, trucks, trailers.
• Recondition vehicles twice a year to meet safety and image standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop.
• Document and maintain service and repair records.
• Provide exceptional internal customer service.
• Assist with other operational tasks as assigned.
