Job summary

TForce Freight is seeking a full-time Mechanic, Fleet Operations to perform maintenance on all company-owned equipment, including tractors and trailers. This role requires no CDL and emphasizes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs.

Responsibilities include regular inspections, troubleshooting, and executing both minor and complex repairs while ensuring safety and compliance with fleet standards. A complete set of hand tools and FMCSA knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Proficient operating standard transmission vehicles
• Fleet diesel and gas experience or trade school training highly desirable
• Understanding of FMCSA requirements and ability to pass an annual PM certification
• Safely perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
• Must have a complete set of hand tools
• Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system and diesel engine
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operating mechanisms
• Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose.
• Perform minor and complex repairs.
