Job summary

STA Family of Companies in the United States seeks a journeyman Mechanic to service company buses, vans, and trucks under the supervision of the Shop Supervisor. You will perform a wide range of preventive maintenance and complex repairs, using drawings and technical materials.

You must be able to lift heavy parts, operate a variety of hand tools, and conduct road tests with CDL/Non-CDL vehicles. DOT and EPA rules apply; prior diesel engine experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with vehicle repair training.
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment preferred.
• Familiar with safety rules and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough PM inspections and maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Completes PM tasks including lubrication, fluid changes, brakes, and tire rotation.
• Performs unscheduled maintenance and complex repairs from drawings and specs.
• Operates CDL/Non-CDL vehicles for road tests and shuttle runs.
• Document repairs and parts on work orders accurately.
• Maintains a safe, clean, orderly shop and follows OSHA standards.
