Job summary

Reyes Holdings in Minnesota is hiring a Full Time Fleet Mechanic for day shift (4 days). You will diagnose, repair, and document fleet equipment including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.

Must bring your own tools and hold a valid license with acceptable MVR; CDL A is highly desired and may be mandatory in some locations. Expect a rigorous safety culture, travel as needed, and a 32–35 USD/hour wage with a $5,000 signing bonus and a $200/month tool allowance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools and valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• CDL (A) preferred in some locations; required in others.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds repeatedly and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic technology.
• Perform detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Comply with DOT, OSHA and company safety policies; use PPE and proper tools.
• May drive Reyes vehicles and undergo DOT drug screening; CDL holders subject to checks.

• Shift: Full Time - Day Shift – 4 Day Work Week
  • Sunday-Wednesday, 7:00am-5:30pm
• Salary: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
• Hiring Bonus: $5,000
• Tool Allowance:$200/month

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
• Some travel may be required
• Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
