Job summary

Jefferson County’s Fleet Division seeks a Fleet Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair a diverse vehicle fleet. You will prioritize service tasks, perform electrical and drivetrain repairs, and ensure safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency across the lifecycle of gas, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

Qualifications

• One year of work-related experience required.
• CDL may be required within one year of employment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and engines, including major engine adjustments.
• Repair drive train, brakes, steering and other systems as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document service records.
