Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; automotive certification or training preferred.
• Strong automotive and hydraulic background; ability to read manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
• CDL is a plus; valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles including trucks, vans, and forklifts.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and logs for all fleet equipment.
• Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, electrical, brake, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and internal policies.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and fluids for fleet operations.
• Collaborate with plant and logistics teams to schedule repairs without disrupting production or deliveries.
• Train equipment operators on proper vehicle use and basic maintenance.
• Perform emergency roadside service calls when necessary.
• Assist with onboarding and inspecting new fleet equipment for compliance and readiness.

Job description

Fleet Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment within the Company’s fleet. Ensure that all vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations and company standards.

High School Diploma required. Post secondary automotive certification or training preferred. Individual should have a strong automotive and hydraulic background. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Welding or fabrication experience a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus. Ability to multitask and prioritize is essential. Overtime hours and some Saturdays will be required.

Job Duties:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair company vehicles, including trucks, vans, forklifts, and other plant related vehicles.
