Sukup Manufacturing Co. is seeking a fleet mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles and equipment used across the plant. You will ensure safe operation, perform preventive maintenance, and keep accurate service records.

The role requires a high school diploma, automotive training preferred, and a strong background in hydraulic systems. CDL or driver’s license is a plus, and overtime including some Saturdays may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair company vehicles, including trucks, vans, forklifts, and other plant related vehicles.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and logs for all fleet equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmission, electrical, brake, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and internal policies.
• Maintain proper inventory of parts, tools, and fluids necessary for fleet operations.
• Collaborate with plant and logistics teams to schedule repairs without disrupting production or deliveries.
• Support and train equipment operators on proper vehicle use and basic maintenance.
• Perform emergency roadside service calls when necessary.
• Assist with onboarding and inspecting new fleet equipment for compliance and readiness.

Fleet Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment within the Company’s fleet. Ensure that all vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations and company standards.

High School Diploma required. Post secondary automotive certification or training preferred. Individual should have a strong automotive and hydraulic background. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Welding or fabrication experience a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus. Ability to multitask and prioritize is essential. Overtime hours and some Saturdays will be required.
